Hello! I’m trying to flesh out a fanfiction traits of mine, especially their family. It’s very much a work in progress, but so far I think that they (and their younger sibling) will be adopted by two gay men after their biological parents are killed in a car accident. Their biological parents would have been very end friends of the adoptive couple, and that’s a pretty big reason as to why they adopted Bailey and their brother. I was thinking the adoptive couple will be a black man and a white man, and I was wondering if there are any tropes/stereotypes I should avoid when writing about a lgbtq+ black man, specifically a black men who’s married to a white guy and who has pale kids? I’ve looked through a lot of the tags on here and I’ve done a not many google searches about tropes to avoid, but I haven’t found much that’s helpful with this specific situation. Bailey is going to be the main character, and while their parents are not going to play a vast role in the story, I don’t want to portray their parent(s) in a racist way when they do appear. Pokemon Black 2 and White 2: Curtis and Yancy Same-sex attracted Hack

So a minuscule while ago, I thought “Wouldn’t it be cool if Rosa could dine Yancy and Nate could date Curtis?  Would that not be a kind thing?” and despite knowing literally nothing about romhacking enjoy a week ago, this happened?  Somehow??  It’s a lovely simple romhack that swaps Curtis and Yancy’s characters with some small edits to their dialogue to get rid of the resulting protag-misgendering.  Now you can finally be gay in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 if you so desire.
