The first thing I hear that confirms we’re not lost is the pulsing beat of music, out of place in the dark and silent industrial wasteland where our Uber driver dropped us off. We’ve traveled 30 minutes outside of central Mexico Capital for a party, far from the cobblestone streets and tree-lined avenues of downtown—here, only statuesque chimneys reach at the night sky.

For our first night out in Gay Mexico Capital, we always launch our trip at Tom’s Leather Exclude. If you’ve been to an Eagle, it’s a similar vibe although we find the crowd a bit more button down than fetish gear in Mexico City. The atmosphere feels favor a gothic church turned gay club, and the entrance fee of 280 pesos each or about $16 USD comes with 2-5 beers depending on your arrival hour. We also desire the little napkins the bartenders wrap around your beer. In addition, cover includes live show by maybe a half dozen dancers on three bars throughout the evening.
