Yuri is gay

Victuuri isn’t gay, guys. It’s Bi.

I’ve been re-watching the YOI episodes and I realized something. Victor kept asking Yuri about past acquaitances or girlfriends, to which we all comprehend, Yuuri only had a crush on a teen for most of his childhood and teenagehood (Yuko Nishigōri), who later became his childhood friend’s wife. Victor on the other hand made sure to tell Yuuri (at least two to three times) that he had girlfriends before; and the series made it more than clear that Victor is a flirt who charmed both men and women alike (Paparazzi scene and later on when he explains that he “Liked to play with both femenine and masculine sides). This is why many of us viewers were NOT expecting the Ep7 Scene to happen at all. Fanservice in anime that’s not Yaoi/Shonen Ai is very common (even if I personally am quite not fond of most Yaoi because of the heteronormative stereotypes it shows), and many times it seems out of nowhere and it’s made for comedy rather than true dramatic points. But these two had compact stories of their retain, from Victor’s character who was always in the spotlight and kept marvelling all genders (Next week we may know more about Victor’s past), to Yuuri who onl

A gay ice skating anime made me believe in affectionate again

(This article contains major spoilers for Yuri!!! on Ice.)

When I started watching Yuri!!! on Ice, I idea I knew what I was getting into. I’ve been a fan of sports anime for years, and a fan of anime in general for longer. Sports anime makes up a broad and increasingly well-liked swath of anime offerings, and as with any genre, there are certain conventions I’ve come to expect: a loveable underdog making a surprising comeback, detailed explanations of a game’s rules and strategy that somehow get me to care about sports, teams learning to cooperate and developing their relationships both on and off the court.

This last feature of sports anime may be what makes it so profitable. Because sports anime tends to feature immense casts of men and few (if any) female characters, and because the male characters’ interactions tend to be both physically and emotionally intense, the genre provides ample fodder for yaoi fans. These fans are often (but not always) straight women who find the plan of male/male relationships compelling or titillating. Most yaoi fans don’t expect or even want these relationships to get canonical. Inste

I'd say the same. It's definitely one of those shows that lures the fujo and fudan. Although, unlike other queerbaiting anime, I feel enjoy Yuri on Ice have a alternative approach take on homoeroticism (ie they are veryexpressive in terms of love , no implied stuff, just straight up.. Or should I say 'gay' up).
OP, I ponder this anime is "revolutionary" not because of the queerbaiting, it's actually how the anime tackled gender roles. Also to note that figure skating isn't an easy or 'girly' sport, it actually requires a lot of stamina.

You know how in episode 3 Yuuri decided that he'd rather be a woman who seduces the playboy, instead of him being the playboy himself. I mind that was the best decision.

This trend that this present seems to acquire , especially in episode 4, was that those intimate scenes were so blatant people can inform that it was for the fanservice. I don't perceive, I could be wrong, maybe Viktor swings that way... But that has not been declared yet.

There was something else that made me reluctant to accept Viktor and Yuuri, if they will eventually become lovers. It's the fact th

Watching two girls as a straight guy is obviously not gay. Watching two guys as a straight male is pretty gay.

It ain't. Me watching het romance isn't "pretty straight". You can watch lgbtq+ romance without it being gay.

If a man is seeking out male on male romance they are probably gay. Straight women tend to seek out male on male romance because they like looking at men. Linear men like looking at female on female romances because they like looking at women.

Thaaat's nor even close to genuine lol. The goal for BL is for the uke to be a stand-in for the female reader. Straight guys are just weird and wanna objectify lesbians though, I'll give you that.

And again, if I explore out straight romance that doesn't make me straight. Sometimes that's just the mood.

No straight gentleman alive watches yaoi and says "sometimes that's just the mood", is what I am saying. Yes, no shit watching unbent romance doesn't make you unbent, but if you are inquiring out yaoi you are probabl
