Labor wants Inquiry into hacker liking pornographic tweet on Christopher Pyne's Twitter

Federal Labor wants an enquiry into Cabinet minister Christopher Pyne's social media, after he blamed hackers for his Twitter account 'liking' an explicit gay pornographic video.

"I was hacked overnight!" Mr Pyne tweeted this morning, saying he had been asleep at 2:00am when the "like" occurred.

The activity on his Twitter account was pointed out on the social media site by other users, including Australians living overseas.

He has since removed the "like" on the pornographic image.

Labor leader Bill Shorten said he was worried about the breach of Mr Pyne's account.

"I reflect it is most serious when any minister, but especially a defence minister is the victim of hacking and I do ponder we need to get to the bottom of this," Mr Shorten said.

"There have been other problems with security the defence communication of our secret contractors," he pointed out.

Crossbench Senator Cory Bernardi also said the hack could have compromised national security.

Twitter closes Graham Linehan account after trans comment

The Father Ted originator Graham Linehan has been permanently suspended from Twitter for breaching the site’s rules on banned words.

Twitter said the account, which uses the handle @glinner, had been suspended after “repeated violations of our rules against hateful conduct and platform manipulation”.

Linehan’s account was closed after he reportedly tweeted “men aren’t women tho” in response to a send by the Women’s Institute wishing their transgender members a gleeful Pride.

Following the suspension, a display credited to Linehan’s handle “Glinner” on the parenting website Mumsnet asked for support.

“I’m really sorry to barge in on you Mumsnettters with my problems, but I’ve been finally suspended from Twitter and I have a feeling they’re either going to ban me or just accept my verified tick,” read the post, published at 3.16am on Saturday.

“I’ve submitted an appeal with Twitter and the Better Business Bureau but I thought I’d post here too so people knew what was going on.”

The post said Linehan had been locked out of his account and forced to delete tweets to regain access several times before. It said “trans rights activ

‘Heartstopper’ star Kit Connor says he has been forced to come out as bisexual

"Heartstopper" star Kit Connor came out as bi Monday, saying he felt forced to share his sexual orientation after he was accused of queerbaiting by viewers of the popular Netflix show.

In a rare Twitter publish, the British actor wrote: “Back for a minute. I’m bi. Congrats for forcing an 18 year old to out himself. I think some of you missed the direct of the show. Bye.”

While Connor did not speak exactly why he felt forced to come out, he posted the letter weeks after he said he was "deleting Twitter" amid accusations of queerbaiting, or benefiting from appearing as queer without claiming the community explicitly. That followed the emergence of photos showing him holding hands with Maia Reficco, his co-star in “A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow.”

“this is a silly silly app. bit bored of it now, deleting twitter :),” Connor said in the September post.

Alice Oseman, the creator of "Heartstopper," which she launched as a webcomic and later as a graphic novels series, shared her sustain Monday, writing in response to his tweet: “I truly don’t understand how people can watch ‘Heartstopper’

Jeremy Clarkson forced to apologise for 'gay c**t' tweet

As the grand master of offence, it's no surprise Jeremy Clarkson has managed to piss off a whole load of people with one of his latest tweets, which saw him later apologise for any homophobia implied from a sign that decipher 'gay c**t'. Ahem.

It all came about after the presenter fell asleep on a plane journey.
Instead of just drawing willies on his face love any sane person would do, his colleagues decided to take the above photo of him with a signal that says "Gay c**t".

Tres hilaire. Not.

Weirdly, Jeremy decided the best thing to do was split offensive pic with all his Twitter followers, with the caption "Sadly, I fell asleep on the plane".

Unsurprisingly, it was met with a barrage of criticism for implying a derogatory attitude towards gay people - leading Jeremy to issue the following heartfelt apology: "I have deleted my last tweet and would enjoy to apologise profusely to anyone who I upset while I was asleep."
