Limp Bizkit frontman weds guitarist in same-sex attracted ceremony

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst may have a modern significant other.

In a protest against Massachusetts Gov. Romney and Attorney General Tom Reilly's recent ban on out-of-state gay couples traveling to Massachusetts to marry, Durst reportedly married Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland in a secret ceremony in Worcester. An unreliable witness to the ceremony said that Durst explained the marriage as having two purposes; to demonstration the governor's relocate against gay marriage which was legalized by a recent Supreme Judicial Court decision and also because now that he has Borland back in his life he does not want to chance losing him again.

Trans people love Limp Bizkit. I can only assume that’s how front man Fred Durst ended up with a role in I Saw the TV Glow, one of the year’s most acclaimed films about trans experiences. There’s nothing inherently “queer” about the Florida nu-metal band, but their output—especially their early material—offers a rich cultural lexicon for exploring trans masculinity. Take the name of their 1997 debut, Three Dollar Bill, Y’all. When something’s fake, you might ring it “as phony as a three-dollar bill,” but when something’s super homosexual, the proper idiom is “as queer as a three-dollar bill.”

Limp Bizkit consciously situate themselves in an ambiguous misfit territory. Their name isn’t spelled “correctly,” and their sound mixes metal and rap (often considered trashy in the late 90s). Their breakout single—a cover of the chintzy 1987 George Michael hit “Faith”—went into heavy rotation on MTV’s Total Request Live just months after the English pop icon was outed as gay in April 1998

Durst’s selling point has always been his ability to embody a certain kind of raw, borderline idiotic masculine aggression with an heartfelt tenderness that’s more often ascribe

wasn't sure whether to post this in the Lounge or not, but here we go:<BR>Recently I was listening to a radio station, where the DJ "replayed" a handset call with a listener. The listener claimed that Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit was queer . And stated a few reasons he believed that; some of which were the titles of his cd's: Significant Other(many homosexual people call there significant other their "significant other", Chocolate Starfish and the hot canine flavored water(I accomplish not totally think of, but I feel it was Chocolate Starfish is another name for the butt hole, and I think steamy dog flavored rain can be figured out). Then as I was listening to his harmony, I noticed many things that made me wonder: In the song "Take a look around" from the Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack, some of the lyrics go favor this, "...all the little girls fillin up the nature today with the good comes the bad - the bad comes the good but i'm gonna live my life like i should now all the critics wanna hit it to shit-can how we did it just because they don't get it but i'll stay fitted...do we always gotta cry do we always gotta dwell inside a lie..."&l
